Meet My Family

*ME*

Hi All!!! My name is Katie Bourelle. As of right now, I have a 15 month old son (Zane Marshall Buddy), and I am 21 weeks pregnant with my second son (Nash Edward James). We love our two middle names.. haha All because of my husband and his two middle names- Marshall Buddy. When Zane turned 1, I decided to quit my full-time job to stay at home with him. Although I love every second of it, I am too much of a busy person to not have anything going on... so I decided to go back to work part-time. It is especially hard for me to be home all day in the winter... I hate being stuck in the house with gloomy weather- It's just depressing. I decided to go back to the same company just in a more laid back and less stressful position- thank goodness! I work some mornings and some afternoons- nice change up throughout the week. I plan to work until Nash comes along and then it's stay-at-home mommy for me! He is due May 21 (PERFECT timing). Right before the weather gets nice, and I will have all summer off with my two boys. That means lots of pool days and outside play time. I'm already anxious!

When I say that I like to stay busy.. I mean it! I am constantly doing something.... working, spending time with my son and/or husband, doing DIY projects, remodeling my home, scrapbooking, cleaning my home (always), shopping & saving, you name it! I feel like I always have to have 10000 things going on- and I'm ok with that.

So this blog is going to be about everything! I want to share my DIY projects and home remodels, talk about parenting/family, share my tips and tricks, just a little bit of everything..... so stay tuned!

*ZACH* My hubby

Zach and I meet in 2008 while we were both in college. He was going to Morehead University while I was going to Wright State University. We spent a year dating each other while going to separate schools in different states. Zach decided to move back to Ohio and we spent our senior year of college living together in our first little apartment. We then moved into a home that we rented for a couple years. This was the same home I grew up in as a child and also where Zach proposed to me and where I got ready for our wedding at. (We had some really special times in that home)

After we got married in 2012, we soon got pregnant and decided to buy our own home. We chose a house that needed completely remodeled. I'm talking from floor to ceiling.. EVERYTHING new! We had a lot of work a head of us. At this time I also earned my first job after graduating with my Master's. So for the next 6 months we both worked full-time and remodeled our entire house on the weekend (oh and I was pregnant the WHOLE time). It was crazy, but amazing at the same time. We are actually still continuing to do remodeling projects around the house.

Zach is the most amazing father and husband. I always knew he would be. When Zane was born, he had Zach wrapped around his little finger (still does). He is the most patient, hardworking, loving, caring, and supportive husband and father I could ever imagine. I could go on forever about him, how good he is to me and Zane, and how much I love him. I am thankful for him everyday and know that I am truly blessed with this man in my life. To put it simply- I am one lucky lady. One of the most important days to me is our wedding day. We had the most amazing wedding I could have ever dreamed of (with a lot of help from my wonderful parents). Everything went perfect! I can't think of one thing that I would change. Although we had been together for 4 years before we got married, it was on this day that we began our journey through marriage and then parenthood together. We are one. We decide everything together and have built our lives around our marriage and family. It is a truly an amazing blessing to be married to your best friend.

*ZANE*
Zane is now 15 months old and brings so much joy to our lives everyday. He went through a lot when he was first born and it was the biggest obstacle my husband and I have ever faced. (Story is under "new mommy tips"). We are now a stronger family because of it. Watching this little boy grow everyday is the most precious gift I could ever ask for. We love to see him change and grow and watch him learn new things. He amazes us with his little personality and how smart he is. He is so cuddly and loves giving hugs and kisses (my absolute favorite thing). I just don't want him to grow up too fast..
