MIA

So I've been a little MIa recently and falling behind with my posts... Sorry!! I've been busy taking care of my 19 month old and being prego.. Oh, and working on custom projects for people. Lots going on! We are officially less than one month away from our due date with Nash! Holy cow! Time has flown by, but I'm getting more and more anxious to meet our little guy.

Recently, we had an awesome diaper party for little Nash. Thanks to my best friend (and future mommy-to-be), Jess for throwing it for us. She even made Nash some custom onesies! She's so sweet!

We got a lot of diapers and wipes for the little man!

We also have been very busy getting concrete poured at our house. Needless to say, this project was stressful for me.. We definitely decided to do it the wrong week. It had been raining a lot and we had the diaper party planned to be at our house on Saturday. They started on Tuesday and things were not going as planned. Long story short, it got poured but our yard was completely destroyed due to it being extremely wet... AND it rained on Saturday (the day of the party) so we couldn't even use it anyway.. Oh well! Here are some before and after pics...
To the left of our Florida room.

The left at a different angle.

The right side of the Florida room.

The right side again. We have a patio set and wanted to be able to actually use it... We basically had no concrete at all.

 The process.. (Right side)

(Right side again) notice our "mud pit" aka our yard...

Right side poured.

Left side poured.

And now we begin to try and grow some grass..

Have to share a great find today.. I went to the dollar store (one of my favorite places) and took a chance on some nail polish I found. Now, this is risky.. Some are too watery and not the best quality. But I have to say, this kind I found turned out to be decent! It's only $1 and they had tons and tons of really pretty spring/summer colors (which is what I was in need of). I've only bought one color just to try it out, but I definitely plan on going back and getting more.

This is what it looks like..

And here's the end result..

Ok, so it's not perfect and it wasn't as smooth as the expensive stuff, but if you're like me you constantly change your nail color and mess them up anyway.. So I can't complain!

Ignore my turtle chair... I'm outside working on a tan while my son naps... Haha.

Anyway, try this stuff out! I promise, for $1 it's totally worth it!

Now, the real test is if it chips.. We will see.

That's all for now!

Redo4U- shop open!!!

After a lot of thought and consideration, I have finally decided to start selling custom and repurposed home decor and furniture. I have created my own little business, Redo4U.

I have always received a lot of compliments on our home and how it is decorated and the specific items I display. I make almost all of my home decor myself (or repurpose it in some way). Since my husband and I decided to make me a stay at home mom, I've been wanting to take this little adventure for a spin. Not only do I really enjoy my projects, I love being able to make them for other people. And to be honest, our house has no more room for any more decor items... So now I still get to craft but sell them instead.

Here are a few of my current items. I have been taking a lot of custom orders for signs. They can be for inside or outside. I can do any color/saying.

Love sign $35

Home is where the ❤️ is $45

Monogram sign $45

Birdhouse $30

Home sweet home sign $40

Repurposed old window $50

Repurposed old barn window frame $40

Home sweet home sign (was a custom order. She chose colors and size)

Welcome sign $20

Chalkboard $20

Our home sign $35

I am also in the process of creating some personalized wedding signs for newlyweds. These are great gifts to give your loved ones.. They are unique and personalized (which everyone loves!).

Plus, here is a great baby shower gift..

This is my own personal growth chart to record my little guys height. I LOVE this idea.. It can be taken with us to any house we live in. I will be making more of these as well.

I can also redo furniture... Here is a "before and after" example of a piece I did for myself.

I have had several people reach out to me to redo a piece of furniture for them that they already have. However, I can also search for specific pieces to redo.

Prices vary to size, materials used, and time invested.

I am also in the process of opening an etsy shop in order to ship items.. However, I can be found on Facebook at Redo4U. I can also be reached at ktbourelle@gmail.com for custom orders and questions.

Thank you all for your support!! ❤️❤️❤️

Jamberry!!

Thanks to Katie Gill, I was able to try Jamberry! These things are so cool! If you're anything like me, you find yourself doing your nails literally all the time. I hate the look of chipped nail polish and I love for my nails to look pretty.. but I'm not one to spend unnecessary $$ to get my nails done (anymore...). These are a great way to make your nails look nice and pretty for a longer period of time than just regular nail polish.

Here's what mine looked like.
These were really easy to apply and they last for awhile. Mine are still good after a week as of now.

Plus they have all kinds of different patterns to choose from. I loved this one to get me even more excited for spring!

Katie Gill is the consultant who sent me my sample. She is on Facebook and can also be reached on her cell at cell 937-212-9159 or emailed at http://www.katiegill.jamberrynails.net

Every woman needs to try these at least once! :)

Hallelujah, it's spring!!!!

I feel like I have been waiting just about forever for nice weather...

Thank goodness it's finally spring! I just had to decorate my house with some cute spring decor!

I don't usually take off my tablecloth on our dining room table... But I needed a change and just love the look of our dark brown table and bright yellow runner for spring. Plus I put together this cute little centerpiece too.

We're ready for Easter!! :)

I also just made this banner with my new cricut expressions 2. I've upgraded from my original cricut and I'm somewhat lost on how to use my new one.. But I've already learned a lot and like it better. Plus, it's touchscreen (which is way cool!) wish I would have done a different color for my wording...kinda hard to read. But it still turned out cute.

I also bought these Easter items to make a wreath for my front door...
It turned out cute! And it only cost me around $6.

Well the weather isn't as nice as I would like it to be.. Still pretty chilly. But I'm beginning each morning by opening all my blinds in my house and enjoying the sun coming in.

This is my view during chilly mornings.. Coffee in hand, Today show on TV, Zane playing in his playroom. Recently, since It has warmed up, Zane and I have been taking a morning walk and then an afternoon one. But, just a little too chilly this morn.

However, I have still been utilizing my Florida room more. We have a heater out there so we don't freeze. Zach says we will probably be adding our TV this weekend. Sweet! Not that I need TV, but it will be nice. Plus we're adding speakers out there that will be connected to our inside radio.. Eventually. I love listening to music throughout the day!

Here are some of my recent updates...
Both end tables on the sides of the couch are finally done.

Here's what the left one looked like before and after...

Before...

And after... Sorry the lighting is terrible. It was too sunny!

Here is one of my favorite decorations in my Florida room.
It is an oher that my parents got on their honeymoon. I added the burlap bow and the "you & me" wording.
I love it! And it's special to me. Hi, Zane!

Also.. I have this window that I made awhile ago and don't really "need" it. My husband is encouraging me not to keep every single project I do.. Lol it was really hard to get a good pic because of the lighting in my house and it's a window. But it has some vinyl stickers that say "live well, laugh often, love much" with some other bracnches/flowers. If you're interested in purchasing it, please let me know!

And here's an updated pic of our precious little Nash. We are just about 31 weeks! Only 2 more months of cooking to do! I am getting more and more anxious to meet this little guy.

Stay tuned! Lots more coming!

Warmer weather!!!!

I can't even begin to express how happy my little man and I are now that the weather is nicer... We have been non-stop all week and he has loved it!

We spent time at the park, playing in our yard, and at the zoo!

He is such a little boy, and I love it! He was cracking me up at the park.. He had a huge playground to play on, but he wanted to splash in the puddles instead. There was another little boy his exact age doing the same thing. It was the cutest. Needless to say, his feet and legs were completely soaked by the end of it.. But, I couldn't bare telling him "no" when he was having so much fun and he needed to get that "winter" energy out...

We also had a quick trip to the doctor this week. Zane had a pretty fussy day Tuesday and I wanted to make sure he wasn't getting an ear infection. The doc checked him out and said his eye teeth are finally coming in... Eeeek! I've heard those are the worse! I hope they don't treat us too bad. Speaking of the doctor.. I just love our pediatrician. Every person I have met with there is so nice and comforting. We go to Ohio Pediatrics in Kettering. It's less than 5 minutes from our house too.. Very convenient.

We also took a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo this week. It was a blast! I went with my bestie Ashley and her two girls, Bryn and Vivian. We love getting our babies together for play dates. The whole trip was great and the babies were SO good! The weather was nice, a little chilly with the wind, but nice! I didn't take a lot of pics but here are the few I got...

Zane passed out before we made it back to the car... How sweet is he!

Since the weather has been warmer, we have finally been able to use our four season room. I am loving it! My mom also gave me an extra glider for the room so I can nurse/rock Nash easily during the summer. We're not completely done with it yet, but pretty darn close.. I am currently working on this project for the room...
This is my old cedar chest my step-dad bought for me at an auction when I was only in elementary school. I'm planning on painting it and making a cushion for the top for extra seating for the Florida room. I think it will turn our perfectly once I'm done. Now, just to figure out what color to paint it...

Oh! And I have to express how excited I am that my best friend EVER is having a baby BOY!! we have always wanted to be pregnant together.. And now that we are, we also get to experience little boys together and they will only be 2 months apart. Little Nash and Ethan will be the best of friends! And Zane of course!

Here my little man and I all ready (and excited) to go to cbus to find out..

I just can't wait to meet this perfect little man!

That's all for now.. Zane is going to be 18 months old soon!! When did my baby get so big! And that means, little Nash is going to be here in just 2 short months!
