Bourelle Show-N-Tell: Home Remodel

Like I explained in "meet my family", my husband and I chose to buy a house that needed completely remodeled. This was stressful but also amazing- we could basically remodel it exactly how we wanted it. We bought the house from the man who build it. He was a brick mason and was in his 90's when we bought it from him. Basically, the house had not been updated since the year he built it.. EXCEPT for the bathroom. It had recently been updated but still needed some work. When we were house seraching, we knew we would find a fixer-upper to buy. We would get it for a good price and use our savings to remodel it. My only preference was that I needed one bedroom done and a usuable bathroom in order to move in. And that is exactly where we started. The bathroom was done already and as soon as we bought the house we started painting our bedroom.

We chose the house we did because all of the "major" items were new. It had a relatively new roof, windows, boiler, etc. All of the expensive stuff was new and the interior needed remodeled. We could handle that!

Here are some of the pictures of the house when we first purchased it. Now, a lot of the "before" are pictures of the back of my camera, so they suck.. but you get the idea.
